Child Development Centre

The Child Development Centre (CDC) at P. D. Hinduja Hospital &MRC is one of the most comprehensive and integrated child care centres in Mumbai. The aim of the CDC is to provide multidisciplinary care for children with developmental disabilities like intellectual development disorder, autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactive disorder and learning disabilities. Every child at our CDC gets individual attention and evaluation, and is an outcome based rehabilitation centre. The intervention by the experts is scientifically planned and documented so that the best care can be provided to each child. The center has dedicated the team of clinical psychologist, occupational therapist and speech therapist.

Clinical Psychologist
The child clinical psychologist at P. D. Hinduja Hospital uses therapy and psychological techniques to diagnose, evaluate and treat children suffering from physical, mental, emotional or behavioral issues. The child psychologist works with a team of healthcare professionals to create a customized treatment plan for each child.

Occupational Therapist
An occupational therapist helps kids who struggle with their everyday physical activity such as a balance and coordination and builds a child confidence for everyday living. The therapist works closely with each child to improve eye-hand coordination to develop skills for routine activities. Each child is also provided training in positive behavior and social skills.

Speech Therapist
A speech therapist helps a child improve the speech and language skills by providing diagnosis and evaluation. Speech therapist work in the areas of intellectual disability, autism, down syndrome, stuttering and voice disorder.
